#I love you too darling.

Stop being attractive.

I respectfully refuse.

Take me out on another date…or well out for another round of drinks.

That much I am willing to do.

Of course. I’ll see what I can do with it.

That is the priority, after all. I realize that what I do could be considered a grey area as far as morality goes, but it is necessary. You strike me as a sharp woman, Tali’Zorah. Few are quite so understanding. Many call me a monster.

[A nod of thanks before she spoke, a sadness puncturing her words.]

I’ve met monsters, Solomon. True monsters with no regard for life. You are not one of them, that much I can tell you. I do not know you well enough to state if you are a good man or not. Though I lean towards yes as you are so willing to help a lost alien stranger, but I know you’re no monster.

[He gives her a small smile, though there’s a twinge of reluctance.] Thank you. I appreciate that more than you know. For what it’s worth, I’m glad I ran into you.

I’m glad I ran into you. I think I’d be a lot worse off in this place without your help. The companies not been too terrible either. Thank you. Keelah se’lai.

My pleasure, Tali’Zorah. Feel free to drop by any time.

I see.

It’s a trade apprenticeship, then? That makes more sense. What is the Force that you refer to?

-he reaches down to take her hand and gently kiss her fingers- I think you’ll find I’m considerably more patient than most.

You could term it that way, yes. -searches for the words- It’s hard describe. The Force is as its name says, a force. It flows through every living creature. Those sensitive to it, who can hear it whispering to them, are found and trained by the Jedi. It gives them power, you see, and it can be easily abused. We’ve lost many to the dark side of it. It can be used in so many different ways.

-blinks in surprise, unsure of what to say- I… -regains her composure- If you feel you’re up to the task, Mr. Pierce.

I believe I understand. I would like to say that I’ve seen something like it, though I may simply be attempting to anchor the concept in the familiar. In my line of work, I have come across rare individuals with a sort of sixth sense capable of discerning friend from foe. It isn’t much of a power, but the extrasensory connection strikes me as similar.

I like a good challenge.

quietsilverfox-deactivated20140 asked: I would call myself many things, most which you would not understand.

I would hope that isn’t a slight on my intelligence.

[He nods and disappears to another room for a moment, returning with a laptop.] Will this do? If not, I’m sure I can get a hold of whatever you need. Abstergo deals in technology, after all.

[He smiles appreciatively.] Thank you. I was raised into it— my father was heavily invested in the company and they spotted my potential at an early age. My schooling and training from the time I was six years old was specialized and intensive to ensure I would be the best at what I do. It worked.

[Tali looked over, nose wrinkling hidden behind her mask at this outdated technology, but if anyone could work with it, it was her.] Thank you I can use it. [More tapping away at the bright device on her hand as she transferred any useful codes she had over to the laptop in front of her.]

You’re confident. Yet I don’t particularly detect arrogance. You must be as good as you say. Then why the business? A disguise?

Of course.

Something like that. Our enemies operate from the shadows, beyond the sight of the law and the public. While we have influence everywhere from global governing bodies to local jurisdiction, it’s cleaner and safer for everyone if we try to keep our conflict out of sight.

[Another few moments of tapping and she her omnitool disappeared as she let her arm drop back down.] I’ve sent everything of use to you, thank you for your offer of help. Truly I am grateful.

That’s understandable. Hm. It sounds somewhat underhanded, yet I know the need for that at times. My team have a habit of disobeying orders from any but the Commander. As long as innocents are kept safe that’s the important thing. [Her eyes brightened through the coloured mask as she smiled.]

Of course. I’ll see what I can do with it.

That is the priority, after all. I realize that what I do could be considered a grey area as far as morality goes, but it is necessary. You strike me as a sharp woman, Tali’Zorah. Few are quite so understanding. Many call me a monster.
